Delta Bingo Partnership with Rotary Etobicoke

Making a Difference - Rotary Etobicoke and Delta Bingo St. Clair
In March 2024, Rotary Etobicoke partnered with Delta Bingo Etobicoke (formerly known as St. Clair) in Toronto. Through this collaboration, Rotary volunteers support Delta Bingo, which donates funds back to the club to be reinvested in community services, with allocations reviewed by Rotary Etobicoke's Community Service Committee. Since 2023, Delta Bingo has also partnered with the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association (OCGA) to support local charities and not-for-profits serving diverse community needs.

During this year’s Toronto Ribfest, Rotary Etobicoke presented a $5,000 donation to KIP Canada in support of its Diversion Program, which helps youth who are in conflict with the law.
The funds will be allocated as follows:
* $2,000 for clothing
* $2,000 for food
* $1,000 for a new laptop to deliver the program virtually
* $2,000 for clothing
* $2,000 for food
* $1,000 for a new laptop to deliver the program virtually
Although KIP Canada is based in Etobicoke, the organization serves youth across the Greater Toronto Area. The Diversion Program provides essential resources to help participants transition away from the justice system and toward a more stable future. The laptop will replace a broken device and allow the program to continue reaching youth remotely.
This donation was made possible through proceeds from Delta Bingo Etobicoke at Evans Road, a long-time supporter of Rotary Etobicoke’s charitable initiatives
April 2025
On April 10, 2025, Rotary Etobicoke proudly presented a $6,000 cheque to LAMP Community Health Centre to support their Leadership Program and Recreational and Physical Activities Program for youth. Rotarian Gillian, Co-Chair of the Community Service Committee, handed over the cheque to Linda Frempong, Manager of Youth Programs, and Ojesemie (Jess) Bent, Community Health Worker (Youth Focus). These programs serve diverse and equity-deserving youth in Central and South Etobicoke, with a focus on MVP youth (African-Caribbean-Black, 2SLGBTQ+, and newcomer youth). They also provide tailored one-on-one support for individuals aged 10 to 29 with intellectual disabilities or specialized needs.
This initiative is part of Rotary Etobicoke’s commitment to investing in community services, with funds from Delta Bingo Etobicoke allocated to support local charities and not-for-profit organizations.

On Friday, April 4, Rotary Etobicoke presented a $3,500 cheque to Sheri Cameron (left), a dedicated volunteer and coordinator of the laundry and shower facilities at All Saints Kingsway Anglican Church’s Out of the Cold (OOTC) program. This contribution will support the purchase of essential appliances and help provide new underwear, socks, clothing, sleeping bags, TTC tickets, hot meals, laundry services, and access to shower facilities for the program’s guests. Operating since 1996, the OOTC program offers a safe and welcoming space every Friday evening during the winter months, serving an average of 90 guests weekly, including men, women, and families. Led by long-time volunteers Nina (on the photo presenting to the group) and Katharine, the program brings together faith groups, community members, advocates, and students from Etobicoke Collegiate Institute to provide food, clothing, resources, and compassionate hospitality to those in need.
