The club held its first Board meeting during the storm on July 8 at Michael's condo.  Little did we realize when the power went out, that tens of thousands would be severely affected by what would later be determined to be the worst flooding of the century in Etobicoke.

As the realization began to dawn on members, several starting asking the question "what can we do?".

The result is a program with an initial $10,000 and the hope that many others will be able to contribute.

The Salvation Army-Etobicoke Temple is handling the identification of need and distribution of money; since they have the infrastructure and trust of the community to do so.  Thank you to Major Kester Trim and his leadership team for helping us put into motion a program that we hope will help several of the most needy families in Etobicoke.

IF YOU KNOW A FAMILY IN NEED you or they can contact the Salvation Army, Etobicoke Temple (416-743-3931) or email Etobicoke Temple.  Please note, this is only for those most in need of help, and you may be asked to corroborate the request.
