Vocational Services Committee builds opportunities within the club for members to engage with others, network, and build better business relationships for their business.
The Rotary Club of Etobicoke has overseen the mentoring project at Scarlett Heights Entrepreneurial Academy (SHEA).
Each Fall and Spring terms Grade 9 and Grade 11 Business students are required to form teams and create a For Profit Venture.
The Teams are to create products or services and sell the products or services to SHEA students, staff and students that are invited from an adjacent public school on Venture Day.
We the Rotary Club of Etobicoke, with a number of its seasoned business professionals provide mentoring, consulting advice to the Venture Teams as they develop their business plans, products or service offerings.
Following Venture Day, top Grade 11 Venture Team is invited to a Rotary lunch at the Old Mill where their achievements are recognized. The top Grade 9 Venture Team receives movie passes and Rotary makes a donation to the SHEA Scholarship Fund.
Declaration of Rotarians in Businesses and Professions
As a Rotarian engaged in a business or profession, I am expected to:

7) Adhere to honesty in my advertising and in all representations to the public concerning my business or profession;
8) Neither seek from nor grant to a fellow Rotarian a privilege or advantage not normally accorded others in a business or professional relationship.
