Keddone Dias,  BComm., MPPAL

Executive Director

LAMP Community Health Centre

Keddone Dias’ commitment to building healthy communities has fuelled her passion to work in the not-for-profit sector for over 20 years. In her current role as Executive Director at LAMP Community Health Centre, Keddone leads a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of primary health care services and health promotion programs that address the needs of the whole person. With special emphasis on areas including youth development, health equity, and education, Keddone has worked to improve access to the resources needed to help communities grow and thrive.

In her free time, Keddone volunteers as the Chair of the Board of the Visions of Science Network for Learning, an organization that engages children and youth from under-represented communities in education focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. She enjoys spending time with family, especially her two school aged children, who always keep her on her toes.

STRONGER TOGETHER!

LAMP Community Health Centre is a multiservice organization that has been serving communities in South Etobicoke and Mississauga for over 40 years. We serve everyone in our communities with special priority given to ensuring vulnerable community members have low barrier access to services. Our programs and services are tailored to the needs of the communities we serve, and we work hand in hand with service users to meet their needs. The health centre model of care takes care of the whole person, because health is more than just the absence of disease.

COVID-19 has shone a light on just how true that adage is. LAMP has remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and we have been responsive to the new and emerging needs of our clients and community members. The key to our sustained response is COLLABORATION. Working with partners, our clients and community members, we have been able to support the health and wellbeing of our communities.

I’d like to share with you some of the ways that LAMP has been responsive, some of the challenges faced throughout response, and how encouraged we are by the resilience we see in our clients, staff, and volunteers.
