Luncheon

On April 26, at Old Mill, we will have Ms. Teresa McDonald-Thuro, Development Manager at Water First, as a keynote speaker.

Biography: Teresa brings 19 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations and event management to the Water First team. She enjoys connecting and collaborating with donors and community organizations to realize their philanthropic goals while supporting Water First's mission. She graduated from Carleton University with an Honours Bachelor of Journalism and English.

About Water First:
Water First is guided by the Indigenous youth and young adults who participate in our programs, our Indigenous staff and board members, local Indigenous community partners, and by members of our Indigenous Advisory Council. Our collaborations are built on respect and meaningful partnerships, with Indigenous youth and community partners at the heart of our work. While we strive to meaningfully engage with many Indigenous individuals through our work, we do not identify as an Indigenous-led organization.

Water First is Canada’s leading charity dedicated to working in partnership with Indigenous communities to address local water challenges through education, training and meaningful collaboration. To date, we have collaborated with over 90 Indigenous communities across the country on environmental and drinking water projects, along with hands-on water science education with youth. Our work is guided by the priorities and needs of Indigenous partner communities. Through collaboration, we are supporting sustainable access to clean water by focusing on building trust, meaningful partnerships, and lasting results.

Classification Talks
May 28, 2025 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

CLASSIFICATION TALKS

FOR

THE IRENE KAUSHANSKY & PHILIP BROWN TEAM!

A very exciting first for our Rotary Club, it's the dynamic duo of Irene & Philip.  They will be delivering their joint classification talks.

Irene is passionate about Real Estate, her clients and her Community as evidenced by the time and effort she has given us at our BINGO duties.  As an aside, Irene is also a swimmer!

Philip's background is in business and has an education in social work.  In 2006, Philip decided to leave his role as a VP Operations and apply his business acumen to the world of Real Estate.  Philip was the lead at our Watershed clean-up at our Rotary Peace Park.

Classification talks are the most well-attended Rotary meetings, it gives all our our members a chance to welcome and celebrate our new members.

Join us at the Old Mill luncheon on the 28th day of May.

Please RSVP so that I can order the appropriate number of lunches.

ROTARY MEETING

JUNE 10, 2025

CLUBHOUSE

As we wind down our year, we have two meetings before ribfest.  My recommendation is for us to have what we call in Rotary,  " A Fireside" chat whereby we meet to map out our goals and strategies for next year plus talk about what's important to you as a member of our club.

This will be a "Bring Your Own Snack" meeting - We will provide water and also some potato chips/Doritos/Cheetos

Please let me know if you plan on attending.  I know we have so much going on right now and I think we need a "just us" meeting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and anyone.
