Tonight, our St. Patrick's Day team will meet at the Exhibition to deliver more tea and work on the float (we will send pictures)

It's been a very busy month and lots more to come:

1.March 16th - St. Patrick's Day Parade - join your district and your club on Sunday morning to walk down Yonge Street -- Rotarians & families welcome

2. March 19th - President Elect's training

3. March 26 - Diversity talk with District Chair, Shauna Moore at the Old Mill - 12:00 p.m.

4. March 29 - Rotary Leadership Training - We have 3 members signed up

5. Aprl 9th - Evening meeting at the Clubhouse - John G.'s Classification talk

6. April 23rd, Old Mill luncheon 12:00 p.m. - speaker regarding indigeneous water

7. April 26th - Saturday - Watershed Clean up -- Etobicoke Collegiate with the Interact Club & Clean up at our own Rotary Peace Park (floot of 11th Street

On March 26, at Old Mill, we will have Ms. Shauna Moore as a keynote speaker.

Biography: Shauna Moore is the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Lead at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. She continues to develop and lead the equity and inclusion initiative, which aims to foster an environment of belonging for patients, staff, volunteers, and the community.

She is also a part-time professor at Durham College in the Social Service Worker program. She is passionate about creating barrier-free spaces for students to learn and achieve success. She built a post-secondary program, the RISE Program that supported under-served and equity-deserving youth to find pathways to post-secondary and worked to create pathways to meaningful employment for students with learning and intellectual disabilities.

She is committed to building community and creating spaces where everyone can find their place, have their voice heard and be celebrated for their uniqueness.

On April 26, at Old Mill, we will have Ms. Teresa McDonald-Thuro, Development Manager at Water First, as a keynote speaker.

Biography: Teresa brings 19 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations and event management to the Water First team. She enjoys connecting and collaborating with donors and community organizations to realize their philanthropic goals while supporting Water First's mission. She graduated from Carleton University with an Honours Bachelor of Journalism and English.

About Water First:

Water First is Canada’s leading charity dedicated to working in partnership with Indigenous communities to address local water challenges through education, training and meaningful collaboration. To date, we have collaborated with over 90 Indigenous communities across the country on environmental and drinking water projects, along with
hands-on water science education with youth. Our work is guided by the priorities and needs of Indigenous partner communities. Through collaboration, we are supporting sustainable access to clean water by focusing on building trust, meaningful partnerships, and lasting results.
