Rotary Club of Etobicoke is inviting you to celebrate Lunar New Year with us on Thursday February 23, 2021 at 6 pm EST. Click here to register, https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/rotary-club-of-etobicoke/events/2021-lunar-celebrations/ We will learn the origins of the Lunar New Year also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival. Lunar New Year is celebrated in China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos. Make a donation amount of your choice ($10 or more) and you'll receive an email with various food and drink suggestions for you to order from your local restaurant (to support them during COVID). Then on the day of the event, you'll receive a Zoom link for you to join the festivities. A presenter will share the traditions of Lunar New Year with a PowerPoint presentation, also with short video clips to demonstrate the various activities. All this while you enjoy your meal in the comfort of your home and with the other participants. |
